Townie Football Shop debuts in Lewiston

Research and Design has opened a second retail store in the Village of Lewiston. Townie Football Shop debuted on Saturday – just in time for GardenFest weekend – at 549 Center St. (the former Country Doctor location).

Inside, customers will notice a colorful layout – and find Buffalo gear, Lewiston-branded merchandise, jewelry, gifts and clothing for women, men and children. Purchased items can be gift-wrapped at no extra charge.

Tentative store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Rani (Somayaji) and Dennis Salemi opened Research and Design inside the former HSBC Bank, at 721 Center St., in the fall of 2021.

Townie is the fifth store under the RD umbrella and is an offshoot of its sunshine + bluebirds division. The owners’ first location debuted in Orchard Park 11 years ago.
