Election 2023: Lilly running for Lewiston Town Board

Ed Lilly is running for Town of Lewiston councilman in the Republican primary, which will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 27.

Lilly has been a businessman for 35 years, he is pro-Second Amendment, and he is a conservative Republican.

Lilly said he would defend the taxpayers.

“Everyone knows that politicians are not doing right by the taxpayers,” he said. “Politicians are puppets for the politicos that pay for campaigns. I am the only self-funded candidate and do not owe any return favors.”

Lilly said he would eliminate the recently imposed tax.

“Taxpayers are being forced to pay for a campground,” he said. “Maintenance costs and hiring politically connected friends and family to ‘run’ a campground is a highly expensive waste of your money. It is a taxpayer rip-off.“

Lilly said he would return to basic services: fix the roads and other public services to benefit all taxpayers; strengthen police and fire departments to protect all citizens; and demand an exemption from New York state to allow gas appliances.
