The Youngstown Garden Club is taking applications for its $500 scholarship award for 2023.
The scholarship is open to students in the 14174 ZIP code and intended to assist the student in the purchase of textbooks and supplies in the pursuit of higher education. Applicants must be a 2023 graduating senior from Lewiston-Porter High School or a Town of Porter resident; they may also be enrolled in the horticulture program at Niagara County Community College.
The applicant should be planning to attend an accredited college, community college or vocation school within 12 months, and demonstrate both a knowledge of gardening and involvement toward civic beautification.
