Oakwood dedication in honor of Larry Steele

On July 14, Laurence G. "Larry" Steele passed away. He was the administrator of the historic Oakwood Cemetery in Niagara Falls for more than five years, and a reputed pillar of the community.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, a memorial service will be held at the Calvary Episcopal Church, 20 Milton St., Williamsville. At 3 p.m., the Oakwood Cemetery Association will dedicate a public clock and engraved memorial bench, and rename the Oakwood Cemetery stone office building the Laurence G. Steele Visitor's Center in Larry's memory.
