Robert J. Travis to be honored at Mount St. Mary's Hospital Foundation's 17th annual 'Good Works Gala'

Robert J. Travis, CPA, of Lewiston will be honored at the Mount St. Mary's Hospital Foundation's 17th annual "Good Works Gala," this year titled "The Enchanted Forest." The black tie gala will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Niagara Falls Country Club, 505 Mountain View Drive, Lewiston. A limited number of tickets are available at $250 per person.

Travis, a partner with Chiampou Travis Besaw & Kershner LLP, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, has been a supporter of numerous organizations in the community, including the Heart, Love & Soul Food Pantry, Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club, Mount St. Mary's Neighborhood Health Center/"Christmas Shoppe Day," and Niagara University, among others.

Travis is a graduate of Niagara University. He is a member of the New York State Society of CPA's and the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, a past president and treasurer of the board of governors of the Niagara Falls Country Club, past chairman of the Porter Cup Golf Tournament, past chairman of the Niagara University President's Dinner, a past member of the First Niagara Bank Western New York advisory board and former chairman and treasurer of the Mount St. Mary's Hospital board.

As an accountant and local business owner, Travis generously volunteers as board treasurer of Our Lady of Peace, as board treasurer of the Buffalo Sabres Alumni Foundation, and as board treasurer of the Niagara Community Center. Travis also is a member of the board of directors of Catholic Health.

Proceeds raised from this year's event will be dedicated to providing a new labor and delivery suit in the Center for Women, and a 3-D mammography unit to enhance comprehensive services provided by the Mount St. Mary's Hospital Breast Care Center.

Gala chairs are Elisabeth and Joseph Ieraci. Christopher and Leslie Leardini are serving as co-chairs.
