Six-week program serves children from ages 4 to 10

HARBORCENTER Vice President and Director of Hockey Nik Fattey recently announced plans for HARBORCENTER's Youth Development Partnership learn to skate program, presented by BlueCross BlueShield.

"It's been a big part of our mission to not only grow the game of hockey, but make it more accessible to athletes of all ages and ability levels," Fattey said. "After a successful season educating hockey players from all organizations across Western New York in our Youth Development Partnership, we are expanding our offerings to beginners. This is an excellent opportunity to bring eager kids together with an activity that everyone in Buffalo should experience."

The YDP learn to skate program is open to all boys and girls ages 4 to 10. The program will teach young skaters the fundamentals of ice-skating over six consecutive weekly sessions, setting the foundation for hockey players, figure skaters and fun.
