Just Between Friends helps families save and earn money

Fri, Sep 25th 2015 06:00 pm

Just Between Friends, the nation's largest children's and maternity consignment event, is coming to Western New York.

JBF Niagara - North Buffalo is getting ready for its falls sales event, with discounts for shoppers at a consignment sale of gently used clothing and children's items. JBF also gives families the chance to earn money by selling the items their children have outgrown.

How the sale works: Consignors, selling their gently used children's clothing and items, register on the JBF free tagging website, set their prices, print tags and prep items. All items are inspected before they reach the sales floor. Those who choose to work the event earn up to 70 percent of their sale.

Special presale shopping hours for all consignors, volunteers and select groups will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 8. The sale opens to the public at 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9 and runs through 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.

Just Between Friends is helping local charities by donating items to Northtown Pregnancy Center and Community Missions of Niagara Frontier Inc.

Owners Cara Turner and Ellanet Ventresca are both moms who know firsthand how expensive it can be to raise a family, which is why they brought the JBF events to the Western New York area.

Families will find great deals on everything they need for their family: clothing, baby equipment, furniture, books, toys and much more. To ensure safety, all local JBF events provide catalogs on recalled items and shoppers are welcome to check items.

For more information on the sale, visit www.jbfsale.com or find it on Facebook at Just Between Friends Niagara/NorthBuffalo.
