The Town of Lewiston Highway Department announces its second electronics-recycling program this year will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the highway department garage, 1445 Swann Road.
The program is open to residents of the Town and Village of Lewiston. Visitors will need to furnish a valid ID or a copy of a utility bill with a village or town address.
Acceptable items include: televisions; stereo equipment; computers, laptops, monitors, computer mice and keyboards; cameras; cell phones; calculators, typewriters; FAX machines; VCRs and DVD players; small appliances, such as microwaves, toasters, blenders and coffee makers; lamps; hair dryers; window fans; and hand-held power tools.
Unacceptable items include any Freon-containing appliance such as window air conditioners, refrigerators or freezers; batteries; or any hazardous materials, paints, chemicals, liquids or powders.
