There is so much musical talent in our midst throughout Western New York that sometimes we take it for granted.

Dan Macaulay, a Canadian-born singer and songwriter now living in Williamsville, does not want his moving vocals to make you take note of his skill, but rather the messages he is conveying through his powerful song lyrics.

"I'm just helping people see that, make that connection and turn their focus on Him to carry them through," Macaulay wrote on his website.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to see Macaulay worship and spread the word through song at Lewiston Assembly of God, 4754 Creek Road, Sunday at 10 a.m.

Worship service is held every Sunday, but this third Sunday of August, in particular, is a wonderful chance to come out and glorify God while simultaneously seeing the chart-topping Christian music artist before he tours across the American East Coast and various Canadian provinces.

Macaulay is an "Artist in Residence" at The Chapel in Getzville, proud father and husband, worship leader, and has been a pastor for eight years. Though he has two full-length worship albums under his belt, six No. 1 radio singles and eight GMA Canada Covenant Award nominations, the performer never strayed from the reason why he sings.

"Everything we have comes from Him, passes through our hands, and is ultimately meant to be used to bring Him glory," Macaulay said on www.danmacaulay.com.

His humble yet passionate personality makes Macaulay a great performer, regardless of religious affiliation.
