5th annual event allows children to climb in municipal and maintenance vehicles

Fire trucks and police cars and ambulances, oh my! It's time once again for Old Falls Street's, annual "Touch-a-Truck" event, on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 2 to 5 p.m. The afternoon allows children and their families to climb into a variety of municipal and maintenance vehicles to see how they operate. The event will be held on the middle block of Old Falls Street in downtown Niagara Falls. It is free and open to the public.

"Old Falls Street, USA, is happy to host this family-friendly event for the fifth year in a row," said Global Spectrum's Ryan Coate, general manager of Old Falls Street and the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls. "Touch-a-Truck is a concept that is held in many major municipalities throughout the country in order to allow children to interact with not only the vehicles themselves, but the first-responders and street technicians that operate these larger-than-life trucks on a daily basis."

Guests will enjoy interacting with trucks from Niagara Falls Fire Department and the City of Niagara Falls, among others. Also featured will be a giant inflatable mobile activity center and other family-friendly activities.
