Donna Mostiller has been appointed as Niagara University's director of human resources. Mostiller comes to Niagara from the Girl Scouts of Western New York Inc., where she has served as senior vice president of human resources since 2011.

"We are very excited to have Donna come to Niagara to fill this mission-critical role for the university," said Dr. Bonnie Rose, executive vice president. "Her experience as a senior leader in the nonprofit sector, along with her expertise in talent management, employee relations, and performance management, will be a great asset to our university's administrative team."

In her role at Niagara, Mostiller will be responsible for leadership, direction and coordination of the office of human resources.

"I am looking forward to joining the Niagara University team," Mostiller said. "Niagara is a great institution, and it plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the Western New York region. I look forward to working with people across campus to continue this work, and its positive impact on our community."

In her role at the Girl Scouts, Mostiller was a collaborative leader, implementing a number of initiatives to improve efficiencies and employee relations, including the launch of an online benefits enrollment tool, alignment of health care plans, promotion of wellness initiatives, and spearheading of employee relations programs, leading to enhanced organizational communication.

Before joining the Girl Scouts, Mostiller served as the assistant director of human resources at People Inc., and as the director of human resources for the YWCA of Western New York. She began her professional career at the Clarkson Center for Human Services in Buffalo.

Mostiller earned a bachelor's degree from Oberlin College (Oberlin, Ohio), and an MBA from Medaille College. She is a member of the 2008 class of Leadership Buffalo, and holds a Six Sigma yellow belt certification. She is certified by the HR Certification Institute as a senior professional in human resources, and she is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. Mostiller serves on the board for the National Federation of Just Communities of WNY, and the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.

She resides in Amherst with her family.
