'The Chew' shares easy and delicious recipes all week long

"The Chew Search for the Weight Watchers Chef" officially begins

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, "The Chew" kicks-off "The Chew Search for the Weight Watchers Chef" with its first two competitors. For the next six weeks, culinary professionals from around the country will appear weekly on "The Chew" to showcase their skills in developing and preparing healthy, delicious dishes for a chance to win a $75,000 and one-year consulting contract with Weight Watchers as the Weight Watchers chef.

The schedule for the week of Jan. 13-17 (subject to change; weekdays, 1 p.m., ET):

Monday, Jan. 13 - "500 Calorie Blowout" - Healthy dishes that are 500 calories or less; Daphne Oz shares her recipe for chicken and pomegranate stew; Michael Symon creates scallops with slow roasted cauliflower steak; Carla Hall shares her recipe for chocolate brownie oatmeal that is full of flavor - not calories.

Tuesday, Jan. 14 - "Fun On A Bun" - It's an hour of heavenly hoagies and succulent sub sandwiches; Cheryl Hines visits.

Wednesday, Jan. 15 - "Breakfast Bonanza!" - Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and "The Chew" has you covered with timesaving recipes to tickle your taste buds; a look at Homstra Farms in Massachusetts for a lesson in how farm milk lands on the kitchen table.

Thursday, Jan. 16 - "Oldies But Goodies" - "The Chew" hosts are giving some of their favorite dishes a new twist; Carla Hall takes viewers behind-the-scenes of her recent visit to Disney's "Newsies," where she had the chance to sing, dance and mingle backstage with the cast of the Tony award-winning hit Broadway musical.

Friday, Jan. 17 - "Extra Value Friday: Cook One, Eat One Free" - It's an hour of recipes featuring two meals for the price of one; Michael cooks up one of his famous "Five in Five" recipes; Mario Batali takes the leftovers from Michael and turns them into a new dish; country music star Jennifer Nettles of "Sugarland" joins Carla and Daphne Oz in the kitchen to chat about her first solo album, "That Girl."
