Information about rescheduling to be released as soon as it becomes available

Assemblyman John Ceretto has announced the education summit scheduled for 6 p.m. today at Niagara County Community College is postponed due to inclement weather. The summit will be rescheduled for a later date.

Information about the rescheduling will be released when it becomes available.

State Sen. George Maziarz, who was among the listed guest speakers, released the following statement: "After consulting with the Partnership for Smarter Schools, we have decided to postpone the "Solutions for Smarter Schools" summit that was planned for tonight at Niagara County Community College. This decision was made in light of the severe snow, winds, and low temperatures that are expected to hit the region by this evening. None of the event organizers want to put any of the hundreds of anticipated attendees at risk on the roads. Their safety is our primary concern. As soon as the event is rescheduled we will notify the media. Thank you."
