Beaver Island State Park will sponsor a waterfowl ID course presented by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation from 6 until 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, in the Beaver Island Club House on Grand Island.
This course, which is required for entry in waterfowl blind drawings at local New York State Parks including Beaver Island, will teach hunters how to properly identify various waterfowl in the field and the hunting regulations that apply to each species.
Participants must pre-register by calling 716-773-3271 and the session is free to attend.
