Islander Mike Madigan's campaign to represent the newly formed 26th Congressional District received a boost at a July 23 fundraiser hosted by Carl Paladino, New York's conservative Republican gubernatorial candidate in 2010.
Paladino praised Madigan in a get-together at the Sandy Beach Yacht Club attended by supporters from all over the newly reapportioned 26th District, which includes the City of Niagara Falls, Grand Island, all of the Tonawandas, the entire City of Buffalo, Amherst, Cheektowaga, West Seneca and Lackawanna, an area which was previously represented by three members of Congress.
Madigan spoke about strengthening America's global competitiveness through proven free market economics, reducing New Yorkers' tax burden and eliminating government regulation that he says hinders job creation and growth.
