What child could resist a trip on the carrousel with their favorite stuffed animal? Bring your best bear friend for a fun-filled afternoon of games, crafts and treats at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum on Thursday, Aug. 9, between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m.

Play games from the past, including clothespins in the bottle and spoon racing, make your own teddy bear puppet and "beary" fun tic-tac-toe game, and much more. You can even make a new friend, with DJ Dance Boogie's build-an-animal workshop (separate fee applies). At 3 p.m., join in for a very special comedy juggling show by Airplay.

The cost for this event is $8 for children ages 2 to 12, and $2 for adults. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission includes all activities (excluding build-an-animal workshop), a treat bag for children, and a ride on the carrousel.

Advance reservations are appreciated, but not required. For more information or to register, call the museum at 716-693-1885.

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is housed in the historic Allan Herschell Company Factory building at 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda.
