Car show at Fantasy Island Sunday

Visitors to Martin's Fantasy Island on Sunday, Aug. 21, will get an added bonus: admission to the WNY Oldsmobile Club's 17th annual Classic Car Show at no extra charge.

The annual Classic Car Show features more than 300 cars and trucks, of all makes and models. The vehicles are placed throughout the amusement park, so guests can look them over while they enjoy Fantasy Island's rides and shows.

The cars and trucks will be on display from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The regular, one-price-covers-all admission to Martin's Fantasy Island will apply (admission discounts are available, as listed on the park's website at www.martinsfantasyisland.com). Guests who want to see the car show but not ride the rides will be able to purchase special "walk-around only" admissions for $5. Parking at Martin's Fantasy Island is free.

"This is a great family day out," said Sal Cerrone of the WNY Oldsmobile Club. "It's fun for everyone to see all those classic cars, and the park is a clean, family-friendly setting."

On Saturday, Sept. 17, Martin's Fantasy Island will host Every Step: The Walk for Universal Newborn Screening, to benefit the Hunter's Hope Foundation.
