Plans to reschedule for summer 2012

Following doctor's orders, southern blues rocker Gregg Allman has canceled his Sept. 7 outdoor concert scheduled as part of the free "Coors Light Wednesday" series at Artpark.

According to Allman's management, the iconic guitarist and vocalist had to cancel four dates at the end of his four-week European tour in June due to an upper respiratory condition. His doctor hoped that, with rest, he'd get better. Unfortunately, the issue has persisted. Treatment is going to involve several days of hospitalization and four to six weeks of bed rest at home.

Allman continues to recover from his successful liver transplant and expects to return to touring in support of his recently released "Low Country Blues" album in the late fall.

Artpark patrons who purchased priority or VIP tickets should contact the Artpark Box Office at 716-754-4375 for a refund.

Venue organizers plan to reschedule the highly anticipated concert event with Allman for a to-be-determined date in summer 2012. Stay tuned to this website, as well as Artpark's website (www.artpark.net), Facebook page, and Twitter feed for updates.
