•The College at Brockport, State University of New York, recently honored students who excelled academically by naming them to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester. Included are: Samantha Love of Ransomville, who was named to the dean's list; Ashley Harbison of Ransomville, who was named to the dean's list with honors; Rebecca Pringle of Sanborn, who was named to the dean's list; Matthew George of Sanborn, who was named to the dean's list with honors; Megan Walck of Sanborn, who was named to the president's list; Emily Marin of Youngstown, who was named to the dean's list; and Kristen Roemer of Youngstown, who was named to the dean's list.
To achieve the honor of being on the president's list, a student must earn a grade-point average of 4.0. Students who earn a GPA of 3.70-3.99 are named to the dean's list with honors, while students who achieve a 3.40-3.69 are named to the dean's list.
•Anthony J. Caserta of Youngstown was named to the dean's list at Fairfield University for the spring 2011 semester. As a junior, Caserta studied in the Dolan School of Business.
To be selected for the dean's list, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5, of a possible 4.0.
•Haleigh J. Brown of Ransomville has reserved a place as a freshman at SUNY Oswego. Fall classes will begin Aug. 29. Brown is a graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School.
•Tre Stroud of Diller Road in Sanborn has reserved a place as a transfer student at SUNY Oswego. Fall classes will begin Aug. 29.
