CBS announced today that it would broadcast an original episode of "Hawaii Five-0," the season's No. 1 new series, immediately following one of the biggest events in sports — the AFC Championship game, Sunday, Jan. 23, on the CBS Television Network. "The NFL on CBS's" coverage of the AFC Championship game will begin at 6:30 p.m.
"Hawaii Five-0" averages 13.25 million viewers and leads its time period in both viewers and key demographics each week. The top new drama among adults 18-49, "Hawaii Five-0" is also the most played-back program of the season, averaging an additional 2.97 million viewers per episode when 7-day DVR data is calculated.
A contemporary take on the classic series, "Hawaii Five-0" is about an elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands' sun-drenched beaches. The series stars Alex O'Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, and airs regularly on Mondays at 10 p.m. on the CBS Television Network.
