Town of Niagara Police Blotter for Oct. 7

Friday, Sept. 24

• 7800 block of Porter Road, drug situation. Patrol responded to a call from a third party to check the residence. Upon arrival, blood was found outside the home. Patrol awoke a female who stated she had been drinking and pushed out the window because she was angry and lacerated her hand. Upon searching the second floor, marijuana plants were found. The suspect stated the plants were dead. A report was filed.
• 1700 block of Military Road, larceny. A business reported that four purses were stolen. Patrol located the vehicle of the two suspects who are sisters from Buffalo. They claimed they did not own the vehicle. The driver did not have valid identification, and the vehicle was towed. Four purses and several articles of clothing were recovered. The first suspect had five known aliases and is being charged for criminal impersonation, bail jumping and possession of burglar's tools. The second suspect was charged with burglary and grand larceny.

Saturday Sept. 25

• 7500 Packard Road, stolen vehicle. A vehicle was reported stolen from a business. Patrol found and secured the undamaged vehicle with keys still in the ignition. The recovery report was sent to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
• 1900 block of Military Road, lost property. A female states she lost her purse that contained $990 in mixed Canadian currency and her health insurance card.
• Tuscarora Road, reckless driver. The area was checked with negative results.

Sunday, Sept. 26

• 6100 block of Grauer Road, suspicious persons. A homeowner stated he could see persons using flashlights across the street from his backyard. The area was checked with negative results.
• 8300 block of Ziblut Court. The complainant stated two men were arguing in a driveway and one of the men left in a white vehicle. The men were gone on patrol's arrival.
• 2400 block of Military Road, drugs seized. Patrol drove by a business and discovered a vehicle filled with smoke with three passengers inside. The female in the car was advised to roll her window down and the smell of marijuana was detected. The male driver claimed that the marijuana blunt belonged to him. He was issued an appearance ticket and released with the other male and female.

Monday, Sept. 27

• 8500 block of Porter Road, accident. A driver reported striking a deer, causing moderate damage to the grill and right headlight of his vehicle. The driver was not injured.
• 200 block of Manny Drive, animal complaint. Patrol responded to a report of two dogs left outside all day with no food or water. The dog owner was advised to bring the dogs inside.
• Miller Road, suspicious vehicles. Patrol responded to a report of suspicious vehicles at a dead end. The drivers were asked to leave the area.

Tuesday, Sept. 28

• Military Road, auto accident. Drivers of two vehicles were injured. Driver No. 2 stated that driver No. 1 hit her at the intersection.Driver No. 1 complained of chest pain and driver No. 2 stated she had neck pain from airbag impact. Both drivers were transported to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center.

• 3500 block of Hyde Park Blvd., false alarm. An employee entered in the wrong alarm code at a business.
• 2900 block of Birch Avenue, check situation. The complainant reported a loud party, possibly fighting. The parties stated they were just having fun.

Wednesday, Sept. 29

• 1900 block of Military Road, stolen property. A businessman stated he found a black safe while dumping garbage. The safe was placed into evidence for a follow-up report.
• 3600 block of Woodland Avenue, animal bite. The complainant stated her daughter was bitten on her left leg because a neighbor's dog got out of the yard. A report was filed and faxed to the Niagara County Health Department.
• 1700 block of Military Road, larceny. A female was reported to have stolen a purse from a business. The suspect was located with her mother and found in possession of the purse. She was charged with petit larceny and her vehicle was towed.
• I-190 and Porter Road, traffic tickets issued. Patrol observed a vehicle with a headlight out. Patrol discovered the Expressway Village driver's license had been suspended. The license plates were confiscated and the vehicle was towed.

Thursday, Sept. 30

• Military Road, hit and run. The driver of vehicle No. 2 stated that vehicle No. 1 hit his vehicle and fled the scene at a business. No injuries occurred. Patrol searched the area for the second vehicle with negative results.
• 4500 block of Military Road, harassment. A female reported her daughter's boyfriend physically harassed her in a parking lot of a local business. The victim reported he pushed her in the chest with his hands. A report was filed.
• 3100 block of Sadlo Drive, prowler. A homeowner reported hearing a possible prowler outside her home. The area was checked with negative results.
• 4300 block of Military Road, vandalism to private property. Patrol responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the lot with all four windows smashed out. Investigation pending.
