On Tuesday, just hours before the first "Tuesday in the Park" concert at Artpark, a public parking dispute was quietly resolved. Artpark & Company board of directors Chairman Chris Brown and Village of Lewiston Mayor Terry Collesano met and ironed out an agreement wherein the $5 charged to concertgoers parked on the Portage Road plateau will be evenly split between the two sides.
The Village of Lewiston was set to open its own pay lot, just in front of Artpark's upper level tollbooth, and charge guests $4 to park in between the dog park and the nature habitat. This was in response to Artpark & Company's offer to pay the municipality $1.75 per car.
The monetary agreement pertains to "Tuesday in the Park" concerts.
