Coinciding with free fishing weekend in New York state, the GI Catch and Release Program will be offered in two time frames on June 23: 8 to 11 a.m., and 5 to 7 p.m. No license is required.

The fishing contest is open to the following groups: youths ages 9 to 15; adults ages 16 and up; seniors ages 65 and up; and special needs residents - youth, adult and senior.

Prize categories are as follows: first caught; largest; smallest; shortest time between first and second catch; and most difficult catch. Contestants' catches are required to come from the Fisherman's Landing Area and all participants are requested to respect private property.
