GI Professional Women to install officers

Officers for 2012-13 for Grand Island Professional Women's Chapter, New York State Women Inc., will be installed at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 21, in Four Points by Sheraton, Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls. Susan Mager, resident of New York State Women, will install chapter officers.

Officers are Diane Dinsmore, president; Sheila Benoit, vice president; Sonja Miller, secretary; and Bev Kinney, treasurer.

Dinsmore is owner and president of Diversified Management Services Ltd. Benoit is a retired senior medical laboratory scientist at Erie County Medical Center. Miller is professor of clinical laboratory technology at Erie Community College. And Kinney is a sole proprietor with Carol Ann Hair Fashions in Tonawanda.

Dr. Sherry Bradford, president of Advanced Cancer TheranosTX, will present the sixth annual Effective Leadership Award for Women in Business at the event.

According to Dinsmore, the upcoming year will start soon with a flea market fundraiser in conjunction with the annual KidBiz and Business Expo on Saturday, June 23, at the Town Commons.

"We will have our annual picnic/planning session in August," Dinsmore said. "And, this fall we will hold our annual membership drive in September, our health seminar in October, and a Christmas event where we collect gifts for the Neighbors Foundation in December."
