At 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, Grand Island Fire Co. rescue personnel responded to a collision involving a school bus and passenger vehicle in the driveway at Huth Road Elementary School, 1773 Huth Road.
Thirteen students were on the bus, which reportedly rear-ended a car driven by 34-year-old Meredith Sinclair of East Aurora, who claimed no injuries. The bus driver, 64-year-old Faith Mantione, also denied injuries. One 14-year-old student was treated by GIFC medic for non-critical trauma, stabilized, and transported to Women and Children's Hospital for further medical evaluation. All other passengers were released to their parents, according to Assistant Fire Chief Chris Soluri.
GIFC units returned to service by 5:31 p.m.
