Assemblyman John Ceretto has announced that his office finalized the application for a $75,000 state grant for the Niagara Falls International Airport. This application now awaits approval from Empire State Development Corporation. The funding will be used to attract new tourists to the region.

"By partnering with the Niagara Tourism Convention Corporation and securing this important state funding, I am helping to promote our region's tourism industry, a vital segment of our local economy," Ceretto said. "This money will help attract new tourists and their money to our parks, restaurants and other local attractions, which will help to create jobs and grow the Niagara Falls economy."

The funding is going to be used to promote incoming traffic to Niagara Falls International Airport. Ceretto noted that this is the first time that grants are being used to promote incoming traffic to NFIA, making the airport an important asset to increase the region's tourism industry. The grant will be administered by the Niagara County Center for Economic Development.

"The funding will be used to promote Niagara Falls as a marquee tourist destination, while advertising the affordability, convenience and ease of travel that the NFIA offers to people interested in visiting the Niagara Falls region," Ceretto said.
