Reduced greens fees and specials this year

Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner Rose Harvey has announced the Beaver Island State Park golf courses will reopen on April 5 with new, lower rates and specials in effect.

"Our fine spring weather provides a great opportunity to check out one of our wonderful State Park golf courses," Harvey said. "Beaver Island has opened up early this year, and offers great value as well as challenging play. We hope to see our regular golfers and many new visitors hitting the links soon."

This year, greens fees at Beaver Island State Park have been reduced by $1 to $3 across the board. Greens fees for 18 holes were reduced from $25 to $22 on weekends, and $21 to $18 weekdays. There are also spring and fall specials as well as mid-day specials during the season. Rates are also listed on the agency's website, www.nysparks.com.
