Lewiston Police Blotter for March 10, 2012

The following activity occurred Monday, Feb. 27, to Sunday, March 4, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 82 response calls during this period.

Monday, Feb. 27

•Joseph Davis State Park, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a 53-year-old male. Suspect unknown.

•4300 block of Autumn Lane, EMS response. Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co. on location.

•700 block of Center Street, suspicious person at a drug store. Subject gone on patrol's arrival.

•5100 block of Dana Drive, AED response. Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. transported resident to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center.

•Black Nose Spring Road, assist. LPD on location with Niagara County Sheriff's Office for a Haz-Mat response involving two barrels of diesel fuel that were leaking. NCSO handled the call.

•Saunders Settlement Road and West Street, domestic. LPD on location with State Police and NCSO. Call handled.

•800 block of The Circle Drive, aggravated harassment. Call handled.

Tuesday, Feb. 28

•Oxbow Lane, suspicious persons. Male sent on his way by patrol.

•5800 block of Miller Road, stolen plates from a vehicle. Patrol spoke with an 18-year-old female regarding a male, age 17. Plates returned; no arrest and no report per complainant.

•900 block of Niagara Street, fight/domestic. Call handled by State Police.

•Garlow Road, attempt to locate. Vehicle located at a gas/convenience business. Patrol reported the arrests of a 20-year-old male and a 31-year-old female on a warrant execution and a charge of aggravated unauthorized operation from the call. No further details. Report filed.

•River Road, LPD on location with Youngstown Police on a vehicle/traffic stop/arrest.

Wednesday, Feb. 29

•Military Road by the State Power Authority, suspicious male. Subject taken to Mount St. Mary's.

•Military and Upper Mountain roads, check welfare. Subjects listed as a 26-year-old female who was taken to Mount St. Mary's for an evaluation, and a 35-year-old male. LPD on follow-up reported the male was placed under arrest on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation, second degree. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court, bail of $1,000/$2,000 assigned and suspect remanded to the Niagara County Jail. Report filed.

•Lake Road and Orchard Drive, assist. LPD on location with NCSO for a prowler complaint. Area checked with negative results.

•5200 block of Lewiston Road, Our Lady of Peace, received property. LPD reports receiving an unknown white substance from a male. Initial testing for controlled substance negative. Report filed.

•4900 block of Indian Hill Road, assault. Statements taken from a female age 19 and a female age 27 regarding a male age 30, listed as a suspect who was then placed under arrest. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court and suspect released on his own recognizance.

•1400 block of Saunders Settlement Road, Colonial Village School, overdose in the parking lot. LPD reported a 24-year-old male was taken to Mount St. Mary's by Lewiston No. 2 Volunteer Fire Co. ambulance. State Police on location.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, gas drive off. Statement taken from a 21-year-old female. A male age 19 was listed as a suspect. Investigation to continue.

•Niagara University, mental health response. Patrol reported a 21-year-old female was taken for treatment by Rural Metro ambulance.

Thursday, March 1

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol reported the pullover/arrest of a 28-year-old male for unauthorized possession of marijuana. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed.

•4600 block of Porter Center Road, attempted suicide. Patrol reported a 17-year-old male was taken for treatment by Lewiston No. 1 ambulance.

•From Ridge/Model City roads, reckless operation/vehicle pursuit. Vehicle involved listed as a gold or tan Dodge Intrepid or Chrysler Sebring with a gold New York plate. Short pursuit called off by patrol fro safety reasons.

•5100 block of Walmore Road, larceny. Purse located while patrol was on location.

•4500 block of Washington Drive, suspicious person in area. Patrol advised the party to leave the area.

Friday, March 2

•Hyde Park Boulevard at NU entrance, gas spill. Statement taken from the driver; state Department of Environmental Conservation on location.

•5400 block of Townline Road, hit-run. Caller reported a blue minivan hit a dog and left the area. Dog OK, owner notified.

•Locations on Indian Hill Road (two calls) and the 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, attempt to locate intoxicated drivers. Two drivers located, no problems; one GOA.

•Locations on the 700 block of Center Street and at Swann and Model City roads, two car and car-deer accidents. Statements taken from the drivers. Reports filed.

•800 block of Upper Mountain Road, domestic. Statement taken from a 40-year-old female regarding a 41-year-old male listed as a suspect. Male placed under arrest on charges of harassment and menacing. Long gun confiscated by patrol. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court, bail of $250/$500 assigned. Domestic Incident report filed.

•Addresses on the 200 block of North Third Street and the 900 block of Mohawk Street, AED responses. CPR administered by Lewiston No. 1 and patrol on first call. A 59-year-old male unresponsive with diabetic problem on the second call. Both taken via Lewiston No. 1 to EM-Star at Mount St. Mary's.

Saturday, March 3

•Locations on the 400 block of Main Street in Youngstown, the 5200 block of Walmore Road, the 600 block of Mount View Drive, the 400 block of Dickersonville Road, the 4800 block of Eddy Drive West, and the 300 block of South Eighth Street, separate alarm responses. All weather related.

•5800 block of Buffalo Street, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from the drivers; report fled.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, unwanted party. Party left, all OK.

Sunday, March 4

•400 block of North Eighth Street, elderly female difficulty breathing. Lewiston No. 1 forced entry into building to reach woman.

•5900 block of Ward Road, grand larceny from residence. Statement taken from a 65-year-old female regarding a male suspect. Report filed.

•2800 block of Ridge Road, check situation. Patrol, investigating a possible harassment on Facebook reported no crime was committed.

•Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a 23-year-old male for aggravated unlicensed operation. Bail of $100 assigned and paid. Driver released.

•Mountain View Drive, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol reported the arrest of a 32-year-old male for driving with more than .08 percent of alcohol and driving while intoxicated and unauthorized possession of marijuana. Blood alcohol content testing performed at State Police Niagara. BAC result, .19 of 1 percent of alcohol. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court and driver released. Vehicle towed. Report filed.

•800 block of Center Street, attempt to locate at a bar/restaurant. Patrol reported negative results on its search for a 21-year-old female.
