Cut & Clips hair salon takes pride in its cozy atmosphere, which offers clients a variety of services. Owner Laura Fantrazo hears from her customers that Cut & Clips is more than just a good cut; it "feels like a second home," she says.

New to the salon, which opened in April, is a traveling hairstylist.

"A couple people, about six months ago, really needed their hair done and couldn't really get out," Fantrazo said about how she came up with the idea.

If a loved one is not able to get out of the house, the traveling hairstylist will come to a client's home. Prices remain reasonable, but vary depending on location. This service is available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Coming in March to the salon is "Stripe for Hope." Clients can get a stripe of color in their hair for any illness, and proceeds will go to the research of their choice. If a customer does not wish to color his/her hair, colored rubber bracelets or clip-in extensions are also available.

Clients in a hurry can get a spray, cut-and-go haircut for $15. This is for those who do not wish to have their hair washed or styled.

Cut & Clips offer discounts for members of the military (vets, and Niagara Falls Airbase workers, too), senior citizens and children ages 12 and under. The salon also hosts birthday parties, and "Treat Your Night Right" parties for teens, which include pizza, movie, hair and nails. Bridal party updos also are available.

Cut & Clips is located at 2028 Lockport Road, next to the airbase entrance. Salon hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, or to make an appointment, call 716-297-7400.
