Lewiston Police Blotter for Dec. 31, 2011

The following activity occurred Monday, Dec. 19, to Sunday, Dec. 25, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD responded to a total of 66 calls during this period.

Monday, Dec. 19

•1000 block of Divide Road, check welfare. Male caller reported he thought his daughter was at the Divide Road address doing drugs. Patrol checked the address with negative results.

•700 block of Cayuga Street, verbal domestic. Patrol spoke with a 20-year-old female regarding a male listed as a suspect. Female complainant taken to a relative's house.

•1100 block of Cain Road, EMS/overdose. Female party taken by Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. to EMStar at Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center.

•2600 block of Saunders Settlement Road, suicide. Patrol listed a 52-year-old male on the call. Report filed.

•900 block of Center Street, officer requested. Unidentified person had questions regarding an unwanted subject at another person's home.

•Military Road at New York Power Authority, assist. LPD on location with State Police for a vehicle accident/DWI response.

Tuesday, Dec. 20

•1100 block of Swann Road, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a 44-year-old male who reported an unknown person cut a property line rope. Report filed.

•Chew Road, assist. LPD on location with State Police; troopers were involved in a car chase. LPD conducted an area check in a wooded area west of Chew Road for two suspects, who were located.

•LPD office, larceny complaint. Statement taken from a 17-year-old male regarding the theft of an iPod, taken from the Lewiston-Porter campus. Investigation to continue.

•500 block of Center Street, hit-run. Male reported an unknown vehicle struck his parked vehicle and left the area.

•North Fifth Street at Morgan Drive, one vehicle accident/EMS response. Male reportedly had a diabetic attack while driving. Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co. EMS transported to EM-Star at Mount St. Mary's.

•Indian Hill/Upper Mountain roads area, shooter complaint. Male party reported as hunting; patrol cleared.

Wednesday, Dec. 21

•3800 block of Lower River Road, assist. LPD on location with Niagara County Sheriff's Office for a loud music complaint. Subjects advised of noise ordinance. Patrol cleared.

•5300 block of Military Road, violation of court order. Patrol reports a 32-year-old male was notified to stay away from a female party, listed as his daughter, who had signed paperwork.

•4100 block of Creek Road, Lewiston-Porter High School, larceny. Patrol reports three iPods were stolen out the boys' locker room in the past two weeks.

•2100 block of Upper Mountain Road, assault. Patrol reported a domestic as physical. Party not on location. Report filed with Niagara County for a warrant. Patrol followed on the address with negative results.

•5200 block of Townline Road, vehicle in ditch. Unoccupied vehicle located and towed with 12-hour hold placed.

•4800 block of Creek Road, domestic/mental health response. Patrol spoke with a 65-year-old male regarding a 32-year-old male. Subject taken by Rural Metro ambulance to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Domestic Incident Report filed.

Thursday, Dec. 22

•2400 block of Upper Mountain Road, missing person. Patrol spoke with a 50-year-old male regarding a 16-year-old male listed as missing. Subject entered into E-Justice database.

•900 block of Creek Road, possible explosion. Patrol checked the area with negative results.

•1900 block of Mount Hope Road, custody problem. Statement taken from a 25-year-old female and a 20-year-old female, listed as a person involved. Grandmother refused to give custody to complainant. Report filed.

•Locations on Saunders Settlement and Chew roads, and Center Street-Portage Road, separate reports of two vehicle accidents. Statements taken from drivers on first call; no injuries and one vehicle towed. Statement taken from one driver on second call; unknown vehicle left scene. No injuries and minor damage reported. Reports filed.

•Military and Upper Mountain roads, reckless driver. Patrol checked area with negative results.

•100 block of North Seventh Street, check welfare. Patrol reported the subject it was looking for does not reside at the address.

•Bond Lake Park maintenance house, suspicious vehicle. Patrol reported a worker on location.

Friday, Dec. 23

•Townline and Saunders Settlement roads, vehicle/traffic stop/arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a 19-year-old female for unauthorized possession of marijuana. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•Niagara Road, assist. LPD on location to assist NCSO on a chase of a male reported as chasing another male with a gun in Bergholz. Suspect detained.

•1300 block of Swann Road, property damage. Complainant reported a vehicle drove on a lawn overnight. No report requested, just extra patrols in the area at night after the bars close.

•400 block of McKinley Avenue, brother-brother domestic. Patrol spoke with a male, age 34, listed as the victim/complainant and a 34-year-old male listed as a suspect. Male arrested and charged with third degree criminal mischief. Bail of $1,000/$2,000 assigned and suspect remanded to custody of Niagara County Sheriff's Office. Patrol's report and Domestic Incident Report both filed.

•220 block of North Ninth Street, unwanted party. Patrol spoke with a 23-year-old male regarding a 26-year-old female. Female left the address without incident.

•700 block of Center Street, holdup alarm at a bank branch. Patrol reported the manager was testing the system; call avoidable.

•Addresses on the 200 block of North Fourth Street and the 800 block of Oriole Lane, separate AED responses. Lewiston No. 1 on location for both calls.

Saturday, Dec. 24

•1100 block of Pletcher Road, EMS response. Elderly male reported with chest pains; Lewiston No. 1 transported to Mount St. Mary's.

•4900 block of Indian Hill Road, reckless driver, possibly intoxicated. Plate number logged.

•Locations on the 600 block of Upper Mountain Road, the 5200 block of Lewiston Road and the 5100 block of Dana Drive, Separate EMS responses. Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. on location at each call for transport.

•1200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; no injuries.

•900 block of Onondaga Street, custody dispute. Statement taken from a 33-year-old male regarding a 31-year-old female. Female reportedly took children while the complainant was not at home. Report filed.

•2800 block of Ridge Road, check welfare. Caller worried about a female juvenile. All OK.

Sunday, Dec. 25

•600 block of Center Street, suspicious person. Caller reported a male walked into a church late at night. Patrol found an open door and cleared the school. Key holder advised patrol the subject was a worker. All secure.

•200 block of North Ninth Street, domestic. Patrol spoke with a 28-year-old female regarding a 22-year-old female. Subject was intoxicated and went to bed for the night; no charges. Patrol's report and domestic incident report both filed.

•Ninth Street north of Center Street, suspicious person. Patrol reported finding a male who had walked out of nearby woods. When questioned he responded he was from out of town, on his way to Canada with family, and was trying to find a bathroom. Patrol reported all OK and cleared the call.

•800 block of Center Street, suspicious vehicle. Patrol spoke with a 37-year-old male who reported a red PT Cruiser circled his business twice in the early morning hours, and who requested the area checked. Vehicle gone on patrol's arrival.

•4900 block of Creek Road, custody problem. Patrol spoke with a 37-year-old male. Female party contacted regarding drop-off of child. Report filed.

•700 block of Onondaga Street, unattended death. Patrol spoke with a female who reported finding her father deceased on the couch. Niagara County coroner contacted.

•2300 block of Upper Mountain Road, domestic. All parties gone on patrol's arrival.
