Assemblyman co-sponsors legislation to stop cyberbullying

Assemblyman John Ceretto today met with students from Niagara Falls High School to discuss anti-bullying measures. At the meeting, students spoke with Ceretto about their initiative, the "Increase the Peace Club," an anti-bullying and character education campaign. The students were joined by teacher Michael Esposito, who also serves as faculty adviser to Increase the Peace.

In addition to working with students, Ceretto has co-sponsored legislation in the Assembly (Assembly Bill 8688) to help stop cyberbullying.

"I'd like to thank these remarkable students for all their hard work on this important issue. Bullying is a very serious problem, and it's students like these who are standing up to bullies and fighting to ensure the safety and security of all students," Ceretto said. "I promise that I will work hand-in-hand with these students to see this through and make schools safe for all our children."
