State legislator continues his 'Listening Tour' before next legislative session

New York State Senator Mark Grisanti has scheduled three more bi-partisan listening sessions in the 60th Senate District.

"It is about listening to the people and being accessible to my constituents, just like when I started this job 11 months ago. I still remember that serving the people is a privilege and not a right," Grisanti said.

Grisanti has held more than 25 listening sessions, which have included local communities, senior citizen groups, chambers of commerce, environmental organizations and more.

"This is a great way to talk with the people and find out what issues they have. Our office has also sent out surveys to each district that have district specific questions as well as state questions. If we do not know what the problems are here locally, then I won't know how to fix them in Albany. I want to be a part of the solution, not the problem," Grisanti said.

Dates and times include:

North Buffalo

  • Monday, Dec. 5
  • with City of Buffalo Common Council Member Michael LoCurto of the Delaware District and Assemblyman Sean Ryan
  • North Buffalo Community Center
  • 203 Sanders Road
  • 6 to 7:30 pm

Grand Island

  • Tuesday, Dec. 6
  • with Town Supervisor-Elect Mary Cooke
  • and Assemblyman Sean Ryan
  • Grand Island High School
  • 1100 Ransom Road
  • 6 to 7:30 pm

City of Tonawanda

  • Wednesday, Dec. 7
  • with Tonawanda City Mayor Ron Polizzi
  • Tonawanda City Hall
  • 200 Niagara St.
  • 6 to 7:30 pm

These listening sessions are opportunities for constituents to hear from their representative in Albany. Grisanti will speak about some of his ideas on how he wants to reform state government.

Attendees will be able to ask questions and express their concerns about their community. All three of the listening sessions are open to the public and will be held at no cost to taxpayers.
