Once again, the Health Association of Niagara County Inc. is offering a free, six-week series that helps older adults manage chronic conditions and enjoy better health.

Living Healthy helps participants to live well with any chronic condition. Participants learn to manage pain, fatigue and depression. Other topics include fitness, nutrition, self-confidence, wise use of medications, and communication with doctors and other health professionals.

The series will run from 4:30 to 7 p.m. each Tuesday from Nov. 22 through Dec. 27 at HANCI, 1302 Main St., in Niagara Falls. Healthy snacks will be served at each session.

Advance registration is required. Sign up or learn more by contacting Jimmy Rowe at 285-8224, ext. 131, or email [email protected].

The program is sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York. It is based on the Chronic Disease Self-Management program developed by Stanford University. Two members of HANCI's staff have been certified by Stanford as master trainers.
