Three students from Lewiston-Porter High School have been named All-State musicians, and will participate in the New York State School Music Association Conference in Rochester from Dec. 1-4. The weekend honors the best high school musicians from all of New York.

Lewiston-Porter High School students - junior Sara DiFiore, senior Marina Laurendi and senior Kate Mieth - all received perfect scores on their competitive solo audition. They were chosen from thousands of New York students who auditioned throughout the state. Their's is the highest honor a high school music student can receive in New York.

Students spent the weekend rehearsing intensively with other student musicians from across New York, under the direction of guest conductors from around the country. Laurendi, Mieth and DiFiore were accepted into the All-State Chorus. The weekend culminated with a series of concerts at the Eastman Theater in Rochester.

Lewiston-Porter High School is extremely proud of its students' accomplishments.
