Fall means it's time for Adams Volunteer Fire Co. to start its farmers breakfasts. The first of six monthly all-you-can-eat food fests is Sunday, Oct. 9, at 7113 Nash Road (one quarter mile north of Niagara Falls Boulevard), Wheatfield.

The breakfast is held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and features eggs, sausage, ham, fruit, pancakes, french toast, potatoes, dessert, pastries, coffee, tea, juice, and milk.

Adams needs to replace an old fire engine, and fundraising events are held by the fire company in order to raise capital for these expenses.

Cost for the hearty homemade breakfast is $8.50 for adults and children 12 and up; $5 for children ages 6 to 11. Children age 5 and younger are free.

Dates for 2011 are Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11. The 2012 dates are Jan. 8, Feb. 12 and March 11.
