Lewiston's Rivershore Inc. hosted its second annual gala on Wednesday at the Niagara Frontier County Club. The event celebrated art and innovation - namely the work of the agency's new "Artisan's Edge" program at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center.

Guest speaker and actress Geri Jewell had the audience laughing hysterically as she shared stories of living and winning with cerebral palsy. Later, she received the "key to the village" of Lewiston from Mayor Terry Collesano.

WGRZ-TV Channel 2 News Anchor Maryalice Demler served as mistress of ceremonies for the gala, while Rivershore Executive Director Jeff Sanderson emceed the event.

Guests bid on a number of silent auction items, including artwork, a Buffalo Sabres autographed jersey, a flat-screen TV and a butler crafted by Rivershore artists.
