Lewiston Police Blotter for Sept. 24, 2011

The following activity occurred Monday, Sept. 12, to Sunday, Sept. 18, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 91 calls during this period.

Monday, Sept. 12

•400 block of Main Street in Youngstown, assist. LPD requested to assist Niagara County Sheriff's Office on a call of a man with a gun. Call disregarded en route.

•LPD office, identity theft complaint. Statement taken from a 23-year-old female regarding an unknown suspect. Complaint involved online purchases with a debit card. Investigation to continue.

•400 block of Center Street, report of a suspicious male. Bank security reported an unknown black male.

•5300 block of Military Road, hit-run accident. Statement taken from the driver; no injuries or tows. Report filed.

•4600 block of Porter Center Road, juvenile problem. Statement taken from a 42-year-old female regarding a 17-year-old male who had sent threatening texts to the complainant. Paperwork filed.

•Bond Lake, suspicious person. Patrol reported a group of four having a bonfire in a far back area of the park. Group advised to pack it up and put out the fire.

Tuesday, Sept. 13

•900 block of Mohawk Street, burglary in progress. Statement taken from a female caller on behalf of an elderly female. Caller reported a white male, with black hair and a large build and a red top, had fled in an area south of the apartment complex.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, bomb threat at Niagara-Wheatfield High School. LPD K-9 unit on location for a search. No bomb found.

•5000 block of Susies Lane, assault. Statement taken from a 39-year-old male regarding a 41-year-old male suspect who was placed under arrest. Bail of $500/$1,000 assigned and suspect remanded to custody of NCSO. Report filed.

•4000 block of Creek Road, two-car accident at Lewiston-Porter High School. Statements taken from the drivers. Report filed.

•1100 block of Swann Road, road rage/property damage incident. Statement taken from a 38-year-old male who reported an unknown blue vehicle followed him to the location, and that he was forced to drive across a lawn to get away. Minimal damage reported to the lawn.

•1900 block of Saunders Settlement Road, burglary. Statement taken from a 73-year-old male who reported that four cans of gas were taken from a shed on Sept. 8. Report filed.

•800 block of Foxwood Drive, neighbor/parking problem. Caller reported as upset because a neighbor would not park in her assigned spot. Patrol advised that it was a private property matter.

Wednesday, Sept. 14

•6900 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard, Niagara Falls, K-9 assist. LPD K-9 unit on location for an area search of two males wearing masks and attempting to steal tires. Negative results; suspects were later apprehended. Report filed.

•Creek Road/Creek Road Extension, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from the drivers; no injuries or tows. MV forms issued. Report filed.

•LPD office, criminal mischief complaint. Statement taken from an 18-year-old male regarding damage to a vehicle parked at Lewiston-Porter High School by an unknown person. Report filed.

•4600 block of Porter Center Road, domestic. Statement taken from a 42-year-old female regarding a 17-year-old male. Domestic Incident Report and patrol's report both filed.

•1400 block of Ridge Road, two-car accident. Statement taken from driver; vehicle No. 2 was parked. Report filed.

•4600 block of Porter Center Road, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a 42-year-old female regarding a 17-year-old male. Patrol reported the arrest of the male on a charge of criminal mischief, third degree. Bail of $750 assigned. Report filed.

•800 block of Center Street, criminal mischief to a vehicle. Statement taken from a 21-year-old male who reported finding items tossed about within a vehicle. Nothing found missing. Report filed.

•Robert Moses Parkway, reckless driver. Caller reported a southbound vehicle traveling in the northbound lane. Patrol checked; vehicle gone on its arrival.

•600 block of Mohawk Street, 911 check/domestic. Patrol spoke with a 48-year-old male and a 44-year-old female. Domestic was verbal and no offense committed. Parties separated for the evening. Domestic Incident Report filed.

Thursday, Sept. 15

•Walmore and Mount Hope roads, warrant execution. Patrol reported the arrest of a 21-year-old male. Suspect arraigned at Town of Lewiston Court; bail of $250/$500 assigned. Suspect transferred to custody on Niagara Falls Police Department for active charges. Report filed.

•800 block of Center Street, Alcohol Beverage Control violation complaint at a bar/restaurant. Caller reported underage drinking. Patrol checked and found all OK.

•Upper Mountain Road reckless driver. Negative results on patrol's check; plate number logged.

•800 block of Orchard Drive, loud music complaint. Patrol checked with negative results.

Friday, Sept. 16

•Niagara University campus, intoxicated person. Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. EMS transported a subject to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center.

•4800 block of Eddy Drive West, unwanted person. Patrol spoke with a 63-year-old male regarding a 40-year-old female. Subject left without incident.

•5400 block of Walmore Road, possible larceny at a gas/convenience business. Unidentified employee reported a customer owes possibly $40 for gas. Matter expected to be settled with the customer.

•200 block of South First Street, aggravated harassment. Unidentified complainant states a caller is calling too early in the morning. Patrol attempted to contact with negative results.

•500 block of Morgan Drive, aggravated harassment. Statement taken from a 16-year-old female regarding threats made on Facebook by a 17-year-old female suspect. Both parties advised not to contact each other. Report filed.

Saturday, Sept. 17

•Niagara University campus, intoxicated person. Patrol listed a female and a male both age 18 as suspects. Female taken to Mount St. Mary's for an evaluation; male questioned regarding a house party. Report filed.

•Upper Mountain and Walmore roads, suspicious vehicle. LPD assisted NCSO on a vehicle pursuit traveling at a high rate of speed. Vehicle went down a trail on Mount Hope Road and was not found.

•3100 block of Saunders Settlement Road, harassment. LPD assisted NCSO on the call.

•Onondaga Street, recovered bicycle. Caller reported a bicycle left on the property since the Peach Festival.

•900 block of Mohawk Street, custody problem. Statement taken from a 28-year-old male who reported a female listed as the mother of the children did not pick them up.

•900 block of Center Street, officer requested. Caller reported a known shoplifter outside a supermarket. Subject gone on patrol's arrival.

•Mohawk Street and East Lane, check welfare. Caller reported a male and female arguing roadside. Patrol found all OK.

•2600 block of Upper Mountain Road, fireworks complaint. Party advised by patrol.

Sunday, Sept. 18

•Niagara University campus intoxicated persons. Patrol listed an 18-year-old male, a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male as suspects. The 18-year-old and 17-year-old were taken for an evaluation at Mount St. Mary's. All were found in possession of fake IDs. Report filed.

•1800 block of Mount Hope Road, check welfare. Call received from Child Protective Services of two female juveniles reportedly unattended. Patrol found both subjects were OK.

•700 block of Oneida Street, larceny. A 61-year-old male reported a Nazi dagger was stolen during a garage sale.

•2600 block of Saunders settlement Road, domestic. Patrol spoke with a 53-year-old female and a 55-year-old male. Call reported as a verbal argument only; both subjects OK. Report filed.

•700 block of Upper Mountain Road, house fire. A 52-year-old male reported the fire started in the basement. Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. on location to extinguish. Report filed.
