CBS News cameraman Isadore (Izzy) Bleckman will share stories and videos as the featured guest next Monday, Sept. 26, at a Historical Association of Lewiston meeting at The Brickyard Pub & BBQ, 432 Center St. The 6:30 p.m. event is free and includes free refreshments.

In his 38 years as an award-winning camera man, Bleckman has been all around the world documenting everything from the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald to a six-week stint in China photographing the Tiananmen Square demonstrations of 1989.

Bleckman, who now resides in Akron, is best remembered for his work as Charles Kuralt's cameraman for CBS's "On the Road" series.

Guests on Monday will also see the first-ever, just-edited video of a documentary on the construction of the Freedom Crossing Monument, which will be displayed in the Village of Lewiston. Bleckman is currently working on that project.
