Erie County Sheriff's Office Report for Sept. 16, 2011

The Erie County Sheriff's Office reports its officers responded to 195 calls from Sept. 3 to 9. Below is a sampling of only those incidents the ECSO reported to the Island Dispatch.

Sunday, Sept. 4

•Staley Road, larceny - A complainant stated to patrol that sometime during the night someone stole a go-kart from his property. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

•Alvin Road, larceny - A complainant at a car dealership stated that sometime during the night someone stole tires and rims from the property. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Monday, Sept. 5

•Grand Island Boulevard, drunk driving - Following a traffic stop, deputies arrested a 23-year-old man from Grand Island for drunk driving. The man registered a .20 percent blood-alcohol content after submitting a sample of his breath for chemical analysis. He is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and other traffic violations and was released on traffic tickets returnable to Town of Grand Island Court.

•Baseline Road, marijuana possession - Following a traffic stop, deputies arrested a juvenile offender for possession of marijuana. The juvenile offender was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Grand Island Court.

Wednesday, Sept. 7

•Whitehaven Road, larceny - A complainant stated to patrol that sometime during the night someone siphoned fuel from a truck on the property. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Thursday, Sept. 8

•Stony Point Road, youth activity - A complainant stated that several youths were seen throwing rocks at a building under construction. Patrol checked the area and was unable to locate the youths.

Friday, Sept. 9

•Whitehaven Road, warrant arrest - Following a traffic stop, deputies arrested a 30-year-old man from Grand Island after a check showed he had a valid warrant from the City of Buffalo. He was transported to the Erie County Holding Center.

•Love Road, youth activity - A complainant stated to patrol that several youths were loitering in front of a supermarket. Patrol located the youths and advised them.
