"The Early Show on Saturday" on July 9 will feature CBS News business and economics correspondent Rebecca Jarvis hosting a live job summit where unemployed workers can ask experts for specific help with navigating the job market in this difficult economy. The summit comes one day after the Department of Labor releases its highly anticipated monthly jobs report.

Jarvis will be joined by John Challenger, CEO of Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc., a global outplacement consulting firm whose insight is frequently sought out by major foreign and domestic broadcast and print media. In addition, Nicole Williams, connection director at LinkedIn and career contributor at Shape Magazine, will share advice for job seekers.

Jarvis, Challenger and Williams will answer questions raised by 12 unemployed panelists. Questions that the experts plan to address include:

  • What tools or methods of job searching are most successful?
  • With new social media outlets, are there other job search or networking tools that should be utilized?
  • Should job seekers apply for positions that they're overqualified for?
  • What should not be done in an interview?
  • What is the best way to follow up post-interview?
  • What are the best ways to avoid "long-term job applicant" burnout?

The special job summit will be broadcast live on "The Early Show on Saturday" this Saturday, July 9 (7 a.m. ET) on the CBS Television Network.
