Niagara Hospice celebrated Armed Forces Day with the American Legion Riders, Wheatfield Post 1451, on May 21. The riders visited the Niagara Hospice campus in Lockport, where staff, volunteers and the community members honored veterans and service personnel with a brief ceremony at the Service Memorial Wall in the Niagara Hospice Memorial Gardens.
A hot dog cookout following the ceremony allowed veterans, staff, volunteers and hospice patients to meet with the American Legion Riders. The riders raised more than $400 through 50/50 raffles and registrations to benefit Niagara Hospice.
