Budwey's Supermarket honored

On Wednesday, March 16, the Cancer Services Program of Niagara County presented awards to Budwey's Supermarket and Eastern Niagara Hospital Lockport Imaging Center at its fifth annual Awards Breakfast.

CSP presented the Outstanding Community Partner Award to Budwey's Supermarket for supporting the program by distributing flyers to all Budwey's customers in Newfane and North Tonawanda. Budwey's also displayed CSP flyers and advertised the program at its customer services desk and at each store register. The Eastern Niagara Hospital Lockport Imaging Center received the Provider of the Year Award for its commitment to provide breast cancer screening to uninsured women of Niagara County.

The Cancer Services Program of Niagara County, a program of the Niagara County Department of Health, provides free mammograms and pap tests to uninsured women 40-64 years of age, and free colon cancer in-home screening kits to uninsured men and women from age 50-64.
