Community Missions hosts CareWalk

Whirlpool State Park is the setting for Community Missions' CareWalk. The 5K walk begins with registration at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2. The event includes a classic car show and a picnic. Special prizes will be awarded to the five runners with the most pledges.

Proceeds from CareWalk will benefit Community Missions' crisis service division: Mark's Place AIDS home, soup kitchen, homeless shelter and food pantry. Community Missions feeds more than 65,000 people each year, while providing shelter for more than 400 people (families included).
