Lew-Port makes personnel appointments

In a special meeting last week the Lewiston-Porter Board of Education took action on several personnel issues.

They accepted the resignation of Jazz Ensemble Director Kevin Duncan and made the following appointments.

Appointed to coaching positions for this academic year were Amanda Burdick, jazz ensemble; Joseph Conti, junior varsity boys soccer; Erik D'Anna, volunteer football; and Paul Fredericks, girl's tennis volunteer.

Margaret W. Beach and Nancy J. Orsi were appointed to interim principal positions. The only dissenting vote came from Robert Weller.

Appointed to long-term substitute positions were Daniel Gaffney, Scott Mueller and Lorraine Yaeger.

Appointed to substitute teaching positions were Josephine Brevetti-Runkle, Lynn Zanardi, Amanda Schephler, Andrew Borton, Kelly Clarke, Ryan Coram, Victoria Scarpello, Ethan Duncan and Matthew Duffy.

Kathleen Scalfani was appointed to a senior typist position.

The meeting then went into executive session to discuss other personnel issues.
