The American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451 will honor its past commanders and past auxiliary presidents at a recognition dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Legion Post on Ward Road in Sanborn.

"Our immediate past leaders are George Kralick, commander of the post; Tom LaVigne, commander of the Sons of the Legion, and his wife, Chris LaVigne, president of the Legion Auxiliary," stated Ronald Krul, current commander. "Recognizing our post's leaders at a formal dinner is the least we can do for these individuals who contribute a vast amount of their time and efforts for the benefit of our veterans, our current service members and our community. We will also take time to remember all the other post leaders who had come before them."

Tickets to the dinner and open bar are available for $18 by contacting the LaVignes at 297-3885.
