Come 'Up' to Artpark for free movie

3rd annual 'Family Movie Night' is Monday

Artpark's third annual end-of-summer "Family Movie Night" will present the Academy Award-winning "Up" on Monday, Aug. 23. The event will begin at dusk in the upper park on Artpark's giant Jumbotron screen. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for this free, ticketless event held under the stars.

Light concessions will be available Snacks, soda and water also will be made available to purchase at Artpark. The "Yo Gabba Gabba!" coloring table will be on display. Families can enter to win a four-pack of tickets for the Sept. 3 show at Artpark. A winner will be drawn at "Family Movie Night."

From Disney/Pixar, "Up" is a comedy adventure about 78-year-old balloon salesman, Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. "Up" invites you on a fun-filled journey into a lost world, with the least likely duo on Earth.
