Community Missions will hold its annual Antiques and Fine Arts Auction on the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 12, at the First Presbyterian Church in Youngstown. Here, councilman Larry Helwig announced to the crowd that if the board or town officials hadn't responded to a citizen email, there was a reason.

"Niagara Now" will take place across the U.S. and Canadian border later this month. The event was started by a small group of pastors last year, lead by the Rev. Dale Hiebert of Dwelling Place Church in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This year, the pastors on the Niagara Now team commissioned the Rev. Joel Arcadipane of i61 Church in East Aurora to lead the American side.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo on Wednesday announced the transformation of the new Buffalo Harbor State Park, the City of Buffalo's first state park, is now complete. New York purchased the once-neglected property in 2013 and immediately invested $15 million across three phases to remediate the brownfield and transform all 190 acres into a vibrant state park. Today, more than 240,000 people visit the park annually.

The United Way of Greater Niagara received a check for $1,829 from General Motors Plant in Lockport to be sent to Puerto Rico to assist the victims of Hurricane Maria. UWGN reached out to Fondos Unidos of San Juan (United Way of San Juan) in Puerto Rico to benefit from these funds and distribute them in the community after Hurricane Maria devastated the island.
