Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will hold a COVID-19 testing event from 1-4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at the John Duke Senior Center, 1201 Hyde Park Blvd., Niagara Falls.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday announced $6.7 million in federal funding is available from the Marine Fisheries Relief Program established by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act to assist New York's marine fishing industry following extensive economic losses resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Niagara County announces reopening of Upper Mountain Road in Lewiston

Niagara County Legislature Chairwoman Becky Wydysh on Tuesday announced the replacement of the Upper Mountain Road culvert over Fish Creek in the Town of Lewiston is complete. The road will reopen to traffic by the end of the day, Wednesday, Dec. 2. The culvert, located northeast of Moyer Road, has been closed since September.
Erie County Department of Health outlines testing process for schools in micro-cluster zones

"Over the course of the last week, the Niagara County Department of Social Services has had approximately a dozen positive test results of DSS employees who work on the second floor of their office on 10th Street in Niagara Falls, with several additional tests still outstanding," Niagara County Manager Rick Updegrove said Monday. "After talking with employees and conducting contact tracing, the Niagara County Health Department has made the determination to quarantine all employees who work on the second floor of that building."

State Police crackdown on impaired & reckless driving over Thanksgiving weekend
