March 19 is St. Joseph's Day. According to tradition, there was a famine in Sicily, Italy. For relief, the residents prayed to their patron saint, St. Joseph. The hardship ended with rain for the crops. To celebrate, a feast was prepared and enjoyed by all.

On March 11 at 8:28 a.m., Niagara County emergency communications received several 911 calls stating that smoke and flames could be seen coming from the prefabricated home on Lot 213 in the Lynch Trailer Park. Responding police and fire units arrived on scene and observed smoke and fire coming from the roof of the structure. No one was inside at the time of the fire.
