Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced Mohammed Mia, 42, of Buffalo was sentenced Friday morning before State Supreme Court Justice Deborah A. Haendiges. He received a determinate sentence of 14 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision.

Niagara County Legislators Chris Robins and Chris McKimmie announced Niagara County will host a paint collection event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Veterans' Memorial Park in the Town of Niagara.
